Real-time atmospheric telemetry sonified using Tone.js. Particles float across the canvas, and pitch/timbre shifts based on the UK region's Daily Air Quality Index (DAQI). DAQI is a 1–10 scale defined by DEFRA UK where 1–3 indicates Low pollution (cyan/green particles), 4–6 Moderate (gold), 7–9 High (orange), and 10 Very High (red). Pitch and filter sweep speed increase as pollution levels rise.

Ember: Wildfire Sonification & Data Dashboard

Ember is an interactive NASA wildfire sonification and data dashboard. Powered by the Web Audio API, the sound design translates wildfire activity across 19 global countries into five dynamic, spatialized audio layers: a pitch-mapped synthesizer lead, detuned ambient pads, deep sub-bass rumble, roaring flame wind sweeps, and crackling ember transients. Users can scrub through 90 days of fire data to hear the sonic intensity shift in real time.

AvesMotif: Generative Birdsong Synthesizer

AvesMotif is a generative ambient web synthesizer inspired by scientific research on global birdsong bioacoustics. Designed to run entirely in the browser using the pure Web Audio API, the system maps the 8 core vocal sound types (motifs) of birdsong through custom synthesized drone and waveguide engines.
